Glemax 2 mg tablets belong to oral diabetes medications.

How to make Glimepride:

  • Like all sulfonylureas, glimepiride acts as a secretagogue for insulin secretion. It lowers blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells and by stimulating increased activity of insulin receptors within cells.

Uses of Glemax 2 mg Tablets:

How to use Glemax 2 mg tablets:

  • This medicine is intended for adults only.
  • Take it as directed by your doctor.
  • Take with food, with the first meal of the day.

  • "It is important to follow the diet and exercise plan set by your doctor."
  • The usual starting dose is one tablet of 1 mg once daily with breakfast. Your doctor may gradually increase it to a maximum of 8 mg per day.
  • Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
