Glucare 500 mg Tablets 50's :

Glucare is a medicine containing metformin at a concentration of 500 mg and is used to treat type 2 diabetes patients when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels.

Active Ingredient:

Metformin 500 mg

Mechanism of Action of Metformin:

It lowers blood glucose levels by reducing glucose production in the liver (glucose generation).
It decreases glucose absorption in the intestines.

It increases insulin sensitivity by enhancing glucose uptake and use in peripheral tissues.

Therapeutic Uses:

Metformin hydrochloride is used to treat type 2 diabetes patients (also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes) when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood glucose levels.

Recommended Dosage:

The dosage is determined by the doctor based on blood glucose measurement results.

Adults usually start with a dose of 500 mg or 850 mg of metformin hydrochloride 2 or 3 times a day.

The maximum daily dose is 3000 mg divided into 3 doses.
