Melasma consists of dark (hyperpigmented) patches on the skin of the face, especially on the cheeks and forehead.
This condition usually occurs with hormonal changes.
Triolite™ Cream is a short-term treatment (up to 8 weeks) of moderate to severe melasma of the face.
It is not a long term (more than 8 weeks) or (continuous) maintenance treatment for melasma.
Milder forms of melasma may not need to be treated with medication.
Melasma can also be controlled by staying out of the sun or by discontinuing birth control methods that include hormones.
Usage instructions:
Triolite™ cream should be used as directed by your doctor.
To help you use the medication properly, follow these steps:
Gently wash your face with a mild cleanser. Do not use a cloth to apply the cleaner, just your fingers. Rinse your face and pat your skin dry.
Apply Triolite™ Cream at night, at least 30 minutes before bed.
Apply a small amount (pea-sized, 1/2 inch or less) of Triolite™ Cream to your fingertips. Apply a thin layer to the discolored spot(s). Include about 1/2 inch of normal skin surrounding the affected area. After using the medication for a while, you may find that you need a little less to do the job.
Rub the medication gently and evenly into your skin. The drug should become almost invisible at once. If you can still see it, you're using too much.
Keep the medication away from the corners of your nose, mouth, eyes, and open wounds. Spread it away from those areas when applying it.
Do not apply or apply more Triolite™ Cream than has been recommended by your doctor. Using too much Triolite™ Cream can irritate your skin, waste the medicine, and won't give you faster or better results.
Do not cover the treated area with anything after applying Triolite™ Cream.
If your skin becomes severely irritated, stop using Triolite™ Cream, and leave it on
Doctor knows.
To help avoid dry skin, you can use a moisturizer the next morning

Regions. It only requires a small amount of sunlight to aggravate melasma. Melasma can get worse even if you don't get a sunburn.
Only your doctor knows what other medicines may be helpful during your treatment, and will tell you about them if necessary. Do not use other medications unless approved by your doctor.
In the event of a sunburn, discontinue use of Triolite™ Cream until your skin has healed. After stopping the Triolite™ treatment, continue to protect your skin from the sun.
