Mechanism of action of fenofibrate:

• Fibrates like fenofibrate activate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-alpha), which regulates lipoprotein lipase, stimulates high-density lipoprotein (HDL) synthesis, and reduces liver production of apolipoprotein C.

Usage instructions:

• This medication is intended for adults over 18 years old.
• Your doctor should start a low-fat diet before you begin taking this medication.
• Swallow it whole. Do not chew, break, or crush it.
• The usual recommended dose is one capsule or one tablet once daily.
