Maxitrol Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the category of ophthalmic anti-inflammatories.

How to make neomycin-polymyxin-dexamethasone eye ointment:

• Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 30S ribosomal subunits
• Polymyxin B changes the permeability of cell membranes, which in turn leads to leakage of intracellular products.
• Dexamethasone prevents/reduces irritation and swelling by inhibiting the natural immune response, reducing inflammatory mediators and reversing capillary permeability.

Uses of Maxitrol:

• It is used to treat eye inflammation in the short term, where it is also thought that bacterial eye infections can develop.

How to use Maxitrol eye drops:

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is one or two drops in the space between the eyelid and the eye up to 6 times daily, or more frequently as directed by the doctor.
• Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more medicine than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

• After applying this medication, your vision may become temporarily unstable.

• It is not known whether this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
