Olmevasc 5/20 mg 30 tablets:

Olimivask 5/20 tablets belong to the blood pressure-lowering medications.

How to use Olmevasc 5/20 Tablets:

• Olmesartan is one of the angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) and works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II in the body, which causes blood vessel constriction.
• As a result, Olmesartan relaxes the blood vessels, leading to a decrease in blood pressure and an increase in the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.
• Amlodipine inhibits the flow of calcium ions into cells, with a greater effect on smooth muscle cells in blood vessels, leading to vasodilation and reducing blood vessel resistance to the passage of blood, thus lowering blood pressure.

Uses of Olmevasc 5/20 Tablets:

• "Used in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Olmesartan or Amlodipine treatment alone."
• High blood pressure is a common condition in which the long-term force of blood pressure against the walls of the arteries is high enough that it may eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.
• Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular diseases, especially strokes and myocardial infarction.

How to use Olmevasc 5/20 tablets:

• Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
• You should try to take your daily dose at around the same time every day.
• You should continue taking the medication until your doctor tells you otherwise.
• The disc may not be broken in half
• You can take the tablets with or without food.
• For the treatment of high blood pressure: the usual dose of the tablets is one tablet once daily, but your doctor may increase the dose to reach the target blood pressure.
• Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more medicine than you should, talk to your doctor or go to hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a missed dose.

Warnings and precautions:

Tell your doctor if you have any of the following health problems:

• Kidney problems or kidney transplant.
• Liver disease.
• Heart failure or problems with the heart valves or heart muscle.
• Severe vomiting and diarrhea, and treatment with high doses of diuretics.
• Low salt diet
• Increased levels of potassium in the blood.
• Problems with the adrenal glands.

Olmevasc and other medications:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any of the following medications:

• Other medications to lower blood pressure
• Potassium supplements, potassium-containing salt substitutes, diuretics, or heparin (for blood thinning and prevention of blood clots).
• Lithium (a medication used to treat mood swings and some types of depression).
• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
• Colesevelam hydrochloride, a medicine that lowers blood cholesterol levels.
• Certain antacids.
• The medications used for AIDS or to treat fungal infections.
• The factors used for heart rate problems.
• Antibiotics used for tuberculosis or other infections.
• St. John's Wort, herbal remedy.
• Dantrolene.
• Simvastatin, a drug used to lower cholesterol and fat levels in the blood.
• The medications used to control your body's immune response and enable your body to accept transplanted organs.

side effects:

• Dizziness, headache, swelling in the ankles, feet, legs, hands, or arms, fatigue.
• Energy deficiency, tingling or numbness in the hands or feet. Dizziness, increased heart rate.
• Some changes in blood test results include the following: an increase or decrease in blood potassium levels, an increase in blood creatinine levels, an increase in uric acid levels, an increase in liver and muscle function tests, an increase in fat levels, and blood urea.
• Bronchitis, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose. Cough, stomach pain, stomach flu, diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, joint or bone pain. Back pain, blood in urine. Urinary tract infection. Chest pain, flu-like symptoms.
• Decrease in the number of blood cells, known as platelets, angina (pain or discomfort in the chest), allergic rash, hives. Swelling in the face. Muscle pain, feeling unwell.
• Swelling in the face and/or mouth and/or throat
• Fluid retention
• Abdominal pain, nausea, ankle swelling, drowsiness, facial redness and warmth, visual disturbances (including double vision and blurred vision), awareness of heartbeats, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, cramps, weakness, difficulty breathing.
• Sleep problems, sleep disturbances, mood changes including feelings of anxiety. Depression, irritability, chills, changes in taste, fainting, tinnitus, hair loss, increased need to urinate (urination), breast enlargement in men. Weight gain or loss.
• confusion.
