Uses:

Usage Instructions:

• To prevent nausea from chemotherapy, usually take this medicine within 30 minutes before starting treatment.
• To prevent nausea from radiation therapy, take this medicine one to two hours before starting treatment.
• To prevent nausea after surgery, take ondansetron one hour before the start of surgery.

Warnings and precautions:

Ondansetron should not be used if:

• You are allergic to ondansetron or similar drugs (dolasetron, granisetron, palonosetron).
• Liver disease.
• Electrolyte imbalance (such as low potassium or magnesium levels in the blood).
• Congestive heart failure and slow heart rate.
• Personal or family history of long QT syndrome.
• Obstruction in the digestive system (stomach or intestines).
