Orotix 120 mg 7 Tablets:

Orotix 120 mg 7 tablets contains Etoricoxib as the active ingredient. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to a group of medicines called selective COX-2 inhibitors (coxibs).

It works by blocking the action of an enzyme called cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is involved in producing prostaglandins, substances in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. By selectively inhibiting COX-2, Etoricoxib helps relieve pain and inflammation with a lower risk of some gastrointestinal side effects compared to traditional non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Uses:

Osteoarthritis (joint pain and stiffness)
Rheumatoid arthritis (a chronic inflammatory disorder affecting many joints)
Ankylosing spondylitis (an inflammatory disease affecting the spine)
Acute gout attacks (sudden and severe episodes of joint pain and redness)
Moderate to severe pain after surgery, including dental surgery

Orotix 120 mg tablets are indicated to relieve pain and inflammation in various conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout attacks, and post-dental surgery pain.

Recommended Dosage:

The usual dose of Orotix depends on the condition being treated.

For osteoarthritis, the recommended dose is usually 30 mg or 60 mg once daily.

For rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, the usual dose is 90 mg once daily.

For acute gout attacks, the dose is usually 120 mg once daily for a limited period.

For pain after dental surgery, the recommended dose is 120 mg once daily for up to 7 days.

Always take Orotix exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Tablets should be swallowed whole with water and may be taken with or without food.

However, taking them with food may help if you experience stomach upset.

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
