How to use Panadol sinus

How to use Panadol Science:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours if needed

• Minimum dosing interval: 4 hours
• Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
• Do not take the medicine for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
• Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age.
• Do not use with decongestants or other medicines containing paracetamol.

Warnings and precautions for sinus panadol:

Do not use this medicine in case of known or previous allergy to paracetamol or pseudoephedrine.
Do not use this medicine if you have very high blood pressure or severe coronary artery disease.
Do not use this medicine if you have severe renal impairment.
Do not use this medicine if you are taking, or have already taken, a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the past 2 weeks.
Do not take this medicine if you are also taking other sympathomimetics (such as decongestants, appetite suppressants, and amphetamine-like psychostimulants).
You should seek medical advice before taking this medicine in the following cases:
Patients with mild to moderate renal impairment.
Patients with cardiovascular disease, arrhythmias, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, enlarged prostate, diabetes, glaucoma or pheochromocytoma.
Glutathione depletion conditions such as sepsis (blood poisoning).
If you are taking beta-blockers and other anti-hypertensive drugs.

There are some reports of ischemic colitis with pseudoephedrine. You should immediately stop taking pseudoephedrine and seek medical advice if you develop sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, or any other symptoms of ischemic canaliculitis.

There are rare cases where encephalopathy syndrome (PRES)/ cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) has been caused by sympathomimetics including pseudoephedrine. Reported symptoms include sudden onset of severe headache, nausea, vomiting, and visual disturbances. Most or all cases improve within a few days
after receiving appropriate treatment. Immediately discontinue pseudoephedrine and seek medical advice if PRES/RCVS symptoms develop.
