Pantoloc 40 mg 30 tablets:

Pantoloc belongs to a drug family known as proton pump inhibitors, which work to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach

Uses of Pantoloc: 

• Treatment and relief of symptoms of erosive esophagitis associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease for short periods (up to 8 weeks).
• Maintaining the recovery of erosive esophagitis, as Omez helps maintain the integrity of the esophagus after inflammation and reduces the risk of heartburn recurrence both day and night.
• Used as a long-term treatment for pathological gastric hypersecretion cases
• Pantoloc is sometimes used to treat indigestion and stomach bacteria

Pantoloc contraindications: 

Pantoloc use is prohibited in the following cases:

• People who have a hypersensitivity to it or to any of the substances used in the manufacture of different pharmaceutical forms of Isopol 
• People who have a hypersensitivity to other types of proton pump inhibitors, such as omeprazole, lansoprazole, and others.
• Children under 5 years old

Store this medicine at a temperature below 25°C, away from moisture and direct sunlight.

How to use Pantoloc:

Used half an hour before food

Warnings and precautions:

• Long-term use of the medication may lead to a deficiency in vitamin B12 levels in the body, so it is advised to consult a doctor if experiencing any symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency
• The doctor should be informed of all medications the patient is using before undergoing surgical operations or dental procedures, including Omiprex 
  

The doctor should be informed of all health problems the patient suffers from before using Pantoloc, as well as some conditions the patient may have had previously, which include the following:

• Low blood magnesium levels
• Lupus
• Liver diseases
• Osteoporosis, as Pantoloc increases the risk of bone fractures, especially when used for long periods and at high doses, particularly in the elderly. Therefore, it is recommended to consult a doctor about the best preventive measures to protect against osteoporosis and bone fractures, such as using dietary supplements containing calcium and vitamin D.
