Amantadine sulphate tablet is effective against all the symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as rigidity, tremor, hypokinesia or inability to move.
Do not take amantadine sulfate tablets:
• Hypersensitivity to amantadine or any of the other components of the medicinal product
• Severe heart failure
• Cardiomyopathy and myocarditis
• Slow heartbeat
• History of arrhythmia
• Severe renal failure
Warnings and precautions:
Amantadine sulfate tablets should only be used with special caution in patients with:
• Prostate enlargement
• Narrow-angle cataracts in the eye
• Kidney failure (varying severity)
• Cases of agitation or confusion
• Delirium syndromes or external psychosis resulting from memories
Possible side effects:
Sleep disturbances, insomnia, agitation, and urinary retention may occur associated with prostatic enlargement.
Paranoid externalizing psychosis accompanied by visual hallucinations may be induced, especially in elderly patients who are predisposed to this.
The development of side effects accompanied by edema of the lower leg and ankle is usually observed as a characteristic skin reaction to amantadine.

Amantadine and the medications listed below should not be used simultaneously.
• Some antiarrhythmic medications
• Some antipsychotics
• Some antidepressants
• Some antihistamines
• Some macrolide antibiotics
How to take amantadine sulfate tablets:
It is recommended to start treatment with 1 tablet/day for the first 3 days to be increased by a regular dose of 2 tablets/day.
How to store amantadine sulfate tablets:
Do not store above 25°C
Shelf life: 5 years
Do not use Amantadine sulphate tablets after the expiry date stated on the carton.
