How finasteride works:

• Finasteride belongs to a group of medicines called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
• An inhibitor that inhibits 5-alpha reductase, an intracellular enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the prostate gland, reduces the level of DHT in the blood leading to the treatment of symptoms of enlarged prostate.

Uses of Prosnorm 5 mg Tablets:

• Finasteride can be used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
• This occurs when the prostate gland becomes enlarged, but the growth is not cancerous (it is benign).
• It can cause problems urinating.
• This mainly occurs in older men.

How to use Prosnorm 5 mg Tablets:
