Resova tablets 10 mg 30 tablets

It consists of pharmaceutical tablets made from the substance Rosuvastatin, which helps lower cholesterol levels, belonging to the "statin" class.

Uses of Resova 10 mg:

• reduces the total cholesterol level.
• reduces the level of harmful low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol
• The medication reduces the level of triglycerides and very low-density lipoprotein.
• Used to prevent the risk of heart diseases such as myocardial infarction.
• Used to prevent the risk of stroke.
• To prevent the risk of cardiovascular diseases for individuals diagnosed with hypercholesterolemia who are at risk of coronary artery disease.

How to use:

The daily dose is one tablet taken two hours before meals, while the duration of treatment should be under the supervision of a doctor.

Do not take rosuvastatin:

• If you have ever had an allergic reaction to rosuvastatin, or any of its ingredients.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you have liver disease.
• If you have serious kidney problems.
• If you experience recurring or unexplained muscle aches or pains.
• If you are taking sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/vocilaprevir combination.
• If you are taking a medicine called cyclosporine (used for example after an organ transplant).

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Rosuvastatin:

• If you suffer from kidney problems.
• If you have liver problems.
• If you experience recurring or unexplained muscle aches or pains, have a personal or family history of muscle problems, or a previous history of muscle problems when taking other cholesterol-lowering medications. 
• If you regularly drink large amounts of alcohol.
• If your thyroid gland is not working properly.
• If you take other medicines called fibrates to lower your cholesterol. 
• If you are taking medications to treat HIV infection.
• If you are taking or have taken in the past seven days a medicine called fusidic acid. 
• If you are over 70 years old.
• If you have severe respiratory insufficiency.
• If you are of Asian descent - i.e. Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Korean, Indian. 

Possible side effects:

• "These include headaches, stomach pains, constipation, feelings of nausea, muscle aches, feelings of weakness, dizziness, diabetes, rashes, itching or other skin reactions, and increased protein levels in the urine."

This usually returns to its nature on its own without the need to stop taking Rosuvastatin tablets.
