Riachol 0.5% eye drops belongs to eye antibiotics.

How Riachol-Chloramphenicol works:

• AChloramphenicol is an antibiotic that is effective against a variety of bacteria.
• It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the bacteria's ribosomes.

• Chloramphenicol eye drops are used in both adults and children to treat a wide range of eye infections caused by bacteria.
• Rapid relief of inflammation.

•  Tilt your head back. 
• Create a pocket in front of your eye by pulling down the lower eyelid with your index finger or gently pressing the lower eyelid outward with your thumb and index finger.
•  Allow the drop to fall into the pocket without touching your eye or eyelid (to prevent contamination of the bottle).
• Close your eyelids without squeezing or blinking immediately after instilling the drops.
•  Place your index finger in the corner of your eye near the nose without putting pressure on the eye. This prevents most of the droplet from traveling through the tear duct to the rest of the body.
• Keep your eyes closed for at least one minute after instilling the drops.
•  Since the volume of one drop exceeds the capacity of the surface of the eye, there is no benefit in using two drops at the same time.
•  Before opening your eyes, dab unabsorbed drops and tears from the closed eyelid with a tissue.
•  If you are taking two different types of eye drops, wait at least five minutes before instilling the second drop.

Before using this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist:

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
• If you suffer from vision changes or eye pain.
• If you have eye irritation or redness that gets worse or lasts for more than 72 hours.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines, including non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and nutritional supplements.
• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• The shelf life of eye drops after opening is only one month.

side effects:

 Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may report:

•  Blurred vision. 
• Slight irritation or burning in the eye.
