Beclometasone inhalation solution is used to help prevent symptoms of mild, moderate, or severe asthma.
• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine or any other medicines used to treat asthma.
• To treat a sudden asthma attack.
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before using Beclometasone if any of the following apply to you:
• You are being treated for tuberculosis (TB), or have been treated for this disease before.
• Alcohol should be avoided for any reason.
• Your asthma condition seems to be worsening.
• When switching from steroid tablets to the inhaler, you find that even if your chest improves, you generally feel unwell, develop a rash or eczema, or have a runny nose and sneezing.
The following side effects have been reported.
• Thrush in the mouth and throat
• Hoarseness or inflammation of the throat or tongue
Other medicines and Beclometasone:
Some medicines may increase the effect of Beclometasone, including some HIV medicines (ritonavir, cobicistat).
Beclometasone 100 micrograms
• Adults and elderly: 200 micrograms twice a day
• Children: 100 micrograms twice a day
