• It is a muscle relaxant drug.
• Tizanidine activates alpha 2 receptors centrally resulting in reduced release of muscle spasm-causing amino acids and blocks muscle spasm-causing neurotransmitters in motor neurons.

Uses:

It is used to relax stiff muscles caused by:

• Painful muscle spasms associated with spinal disorders.
• Spasticity (muscle stiffness and tightness) resulting from neurological problems.

How to use:
