Vivazac Plus 300/25 mg 30 Tablets:
Therapeutic uses:
- Vivazac Plus is used to treat high blood pressure when treatment with irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone does not provide adequate control of blood pressure.
Instructions for use:
- Always take this medication exactly as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage:
- The recommended dose of Vivazac Plus is one or two tablets daily. Vivazac Plus is usually prescribed by a doctor when previous treatment has not reduced blood pressure enough.
- Your doctor will instruct you on how to switch from the previous treatment to Vivazac Plus.
- Method of administration: Vivazac Plus is intended for oral use. The tablets should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of liquid (such as one glass of water). You can take Vivazac Plus regardless of food intake. The dividing line on the Vivazac Plus pill is 5/150 mg and is not intended for dividing the pill into equal doses. It is important that you continue taking Vivazac Plus until your doctor tells you otherwise.
- The maximum blood pressure lowering effect should be achieved within 6-8 weeks after the start of treatment.
- Vivazac Plus should not be given to children
- Vivazac Plus should not be given to children under 18 years of age. If a child swallows some of the tablets, contact your doctor immediately.
- A. If you take more Vivazac Plus than you should
- If you accidentally take too many tablets, contact your doctor immediately.
- B. If you forget to take Vivazac Plus
- If you accidentally forget your daily dose, just take the next dose as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose. If you have any further questions about using this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- C. If you stop taking Vivazac Plus
- Do not stop taking Vivazac Plus tablets unless your doctor tells you to. You should stop taking Vivazac Plus tablets gradually, especially if you are taking a high dose, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Stopping treatment suddenly may cause sudden effects such as increased heart rate
- Heart and high blood pressure. If you have any further questions about using this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings and precautions:
Do not take Vivazac Plus
- If you are allergic to irbesartan or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
- If you are allergic to hydrochlorothiazide or any other medicine derived from sulfonamide.
- - During the last six months of pregnancy (it is better to refrain from taking Vivazac Plus at the beginning of pregnancy.)
- If you have severe liver or kidney problems.
- If you have difficulty producing urine.
- If your doctor determines that you have persistently high levels of calcium or potassium in your blood.
- You have diabetes or poor kidney function and are being treated with a blood pressure-lowering medicine containing aliskiren.
Precautions when using Vivazac Plus
- Talk to your doctor before taking Vivazac Plus if any of the following apply to you:
- If you suffer from excessive vomiting or diarrhea.
- If you have kidney problems or have a kidney transplant.
- If you suffer from heart problems.
- If you suffer from diabetes.
- If you suffer from lupus erythematosus) also known as lupus or systemic lupus erythematosus. (
- If you suffer from primary aldosteronism (a condition related to high production of the hormone aldosterone, which causes sodium retention, thus increasing blood pressure.)
- If you are taking any of the following medicines used to treat high blood pressure:
- Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (eg enalapril, lisinopril, ramipril), especially if you have kidney problems related to diabetes.
- -Aliskiren
- Your doctor may check your kidney function, blood pressure, and the amount of electrolytes (for example, potassium) in your blood at regular intervals.
- You should tell your doctor if you think you are (or may become) pregnant. Vivazac Plus is not recommended for use in early pregnancy and can cause serious harm to your baby after 3 months of pregnancy if used at this stage.
You should also tell your doctor:
- If you are on a low-salt diet.
- If you have signs such as abnormal thirst, dry mouth, general weakness, drowsiness, muscle pain or cramps, nausea, vomiting, or an abnormally fast heartbeat which may indicate an excessive effect of hydrochlorothiazide.
- If you experience increased skin sensitivity to the sun with sunburn symptoms (such as redness, itching, swelling, blisters) that occur more quickly than usual.
- If you are going to undergo surgery or be given anesthesia.
- If you have changes in the field of vision or light in one or both eyes while taking Vivazac Plus. This could be a sign that you will develop glaucoma, and increased pressure in your eyes. You should stop taking Vivazac Plus and seek medical attention.
- Hydrochlorothiazide contained in this medicine can give a positive result in an anti-doping test.
Children and teenagers:
- Vivazac Plus should not be used in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age).
