Scientific name: Dorzolamide + timolol.

Uses:

• It is used to reduce increased intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

How to use:

• Wait at least 15 minutes after using this medication before putting in contact lenses.
• Tilt your head back, look up and pull down the lower eyelid.
• Hold the dropper directly above your eye and apply one drop.
• Usually used twice daily (12 hours apart) or as directed by your doctor.

side effects:

Side effects are not common to everyone, but some patients may complain of:

• Temporary blurred vision.
• Temporary burning/stinging/itching/redness of the eye.
• Watery eyes.
• Dry eyes.
• Dry mouth.
• Feeling as if there is something in the eye.
• Headache, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur.
• If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor right away.

Warnings and precautions:

• It is very important that your eye doctor check your progress at regular visits to make sure the medicine is working properly and is not causing unwanted effects.
• If itching, redness, swelling, or other signs of eye or eyelid irritation occur, consult your doctor.
• If you or your child has an eye injury or infection, or needs eye surgery, talk to your doctor right away.
• You may need to change your medication or stop using it.
• This medication may cause some people to become dizzy, drowsy, tired, or less alert than they are normally.
• Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how this medication affects you.
• This medication may increase the effects of alcohol and other central nervous system depressants (drugs that make you drowsy or less alert).
• It may cause your eyes to become more sensitive to light than they normally are.
• Wearing sunglasses and avoiding excessive exposure to bright light may help reduce discomfort.

Preservation method:

• Store at a temperature below 25 degrees Celsius.
• Do not refrigerate in the freezer.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Must be stored in the original packaging to protect it from moisture.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
