Uses:

• Used in the treatment of low blood sugar associated with patients with diabetes mellitus
• In the case of insulin shock, where blood sugar drops due to the use of insulin without eating enough food
• Used as a source of carbohydrate calories, it is sometimes indicated for the treatment of hyperkalemia

How to use:

• Given by intravenous injection and dosage as directed by your doctor.

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor about all of your medical conditions before receiving this medication including

• Diabetes
• dehydration
• You are malnourished
• Have any type of impaired glucose metabolism
• You have difficulty urinating
• Problems with your kidneys
• Have recently suffered a brain injury

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop

• skin rash
• chills
• Red, swollen, blistered or peeling skin
• Tightness in your chest or throat
• Difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking
