Uses:

• Acute otitis media (AOM).
• Pharyngitis and tonsillitis.
• Respiratory infections.
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs).
• Cefixime prevents bacteria from forming a cell wall that bacteria need to survive.
• This reduces the number of bacteria in your body, which helps your body fight the infection.

How to use:

• Follow all instructions on the package label and do not take it in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
• You can take the medicine with or without food.
• Shake the container well before measuring a dose.
• Measure the medication with a dosing syringe, or with a special dose-measuring spoon.
• Children 6 months to 12 years: Recommended dose: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hours for 10-14 days.

Warnings and precautions:

• You should not take the medicine if you are allergic to cefixime, or to similar antibiotics. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin.
• The medicine contains sucrose.
• Talk to your doctor before using this form of cefixime if you have diabetes.
• Do not use the medicine for longer than you were told to.

Preservation method:

• Store at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
• Store in the original packaging in order to protect from moisture.
• Keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
• Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package.
