Etoxicib 90 mg 28 tablets:

Etoxicib is one of a group of medicines called selective COX-2 inhibitors.

It belongs to a family of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Etoxicib helps reduce pain and swelling (inflammation) in the joints and muscles.

Etoxicib is also used as a short-term treatment for moderate pain after dental surgery in people aged 16 years and older.

How to use:

In osteoarthritis, the recommended dose is 30 mg once a day, which can be increased to 60 mg once a day if necessary.

In rheumatoid arthritis, the recommended dose is 60 mg once a day, which can be increased to a maximum of 90 mg once a day if necessary.

In ankylosing spondylitis, the recommended dose is 60 mg once a day, which can be increased to a maximum of 90 mg once a day if necessary.

In cases of acute pain, Etoxicib should only be used during the painful acute period.

In gout, the recommended dose is 120 mg once a day, and it should only be used during the acute pain period, with a defined treatment period of up to 8 days.

After dental surgery pain, the recommended dose is 90 mg once daily, with a defined treatment period of up to 3 days.

People with liver problems: If you have mild liver disease, you should not take more than 60 mg per day.

If you have moderate liver disease, you should not take more than 30 mg per day.

Warnings and precautions:

Do not take Etoxicib: if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Etoxicib or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

If you are allergic to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including COX-2 inhibitors and aspirin. If you have an active stomach ulcer or bleeding in your stomach or intestines. If you have severe liver disease. If you have severe kidney disease. If you are or may be pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are under 16 years old. If you have inflammatory bowel disease, such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis or colitis. If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure despite treatment. If your doctor has diagnosed heart problems including heart failure (moderate or severe types), or angina (chest pain).

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Etoxicib if:

You have a history of stomach bleeding or ulcers. You are dehydrated, for example due to prolonged vomiting or diarrhea.
