Magnacef 400 mg is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, throat, kidneys, bladder, ureter, and urethra.
Magnacef antibiotic works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall, which stops the growth and reproduction of bacteria and ultimately kills them.
Urinary Tract Infection: Infection in any part of the urinary system is called a urinary tract infection (UTI). UTIs are caused by bacteria, and in some cases, by viruses or fungi. Magnacef antibiotic is used to treat bacterial urinary tract infections.
Gonorrhea: This is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae, affecting both men and women. It results from unprotected sexual contact with an infected person. Magnacef antibiotic is used to treat gonorrhea.
Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis: These are infections that cause swelling and pain in the throat and tonsils. Magnacef antibiotic is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, or both.
Acute Bronchitis: This is a condition where the bronchial tubes that carry air to and from the lungs become inflamed, causing narrowing of the airways which leads to symptoms such as coughing and wheezing. Magnacef tablets are used to treat acute bronchitis caused by bacteria.
Acute Middle Ear Infection: This is an infection of the middle ear. Magnacef tablets are used to treat acute middle ear infections caused by bacteria.
Magnacef tablets can be taken with or without food according to your doctor's instructions.
Avoid taking more or less than the prescribed dose of Magnacef tablets.
Complete the full course of treatment and do not stop taking this medicine on your own, even if you feel better after a few doses.
Magnacef tablets may kill beneficial bacteria in your stomach and intestines and cause diarrhea.
Consult your doctor if diarrhea persists or worsens.
Do not give your medicine to others even if their condition seems similar to yours.

Do not use Magnacef 400 in the following cases:
Allergy: Avoid taking Magnacef 400 if you are allergic to it, and seek immediate medical care if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as rash, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
Pregnancy: Magnacef 400 may be safe to use during pregnancy to treat bacterial infections, as animal studies show no risk to the fetus. However, data from human studies are not available, so use Magnacef 400 only on your doctor's recommendation.
Breastfeeding: It is not known whether Magnacef 400 passes into breast milk. Therefore, if you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Magnacef 400.
Diarrhea: Magnacef 400 may also kill beneficial bacteria in your stomach or intestines, leading to overgrowth of Clostridium difficile bacteria that release toxins and cause severe diarrhea. Seek medical help if you have severe diarrhea that persists or worsens.
Antibiotic Resistance: Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria develop the ability to defeat antibiotics aimed at killing them. You should complete the full course of treatment with Magnacef 400, even if you feel better after a few doses, to avoid antibiotic resistance. Consult your doctor if you still feel unwell after finishing the antibiotic course.
Driving: Magnacef may cause dizziness, confusion, or fits in some cases, so avoid driving if you experience such symptoms.
Skin Allergic Reaction: Magnacef may cause severe skin reactions. Seek immediate medical care if you notice symptoms such as rash, blisters, or lesions.
Liver Diseases: Magnacef tablets may increase liver enzyme levels and cause liver damage. Therefore, this medicine should be used cautiously if you have liver problems. Your doctor may adjust the dose of Magnacef tablets based on your clinical condition.
Seizures: A seizure is a condition caused by abnormal nerve cell activity in the brain leading to unusual behavior and loss of consciousness. Use Magnacef tablets cautiously if you have a history of seizures, as Magnacef tablets may trigger seizures.
