Roxil 500 mg 20 capsules:
An antibiotic belonging to the group of first-generation cephalosporins, which relieves bacterial infections.
Uses of Roxil 500 mg:
- pharyngitis.
- Bronchopneumonia and bacterial pneumonia.
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections: pyelonephritis and cystitis.
- Skin and soft tissue infections: abscesses, boils, impetigo, erysipelas, pyoderma, lymphadenopathy.
How to use Roxil 500 mg:
- Take Roxil as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Roxil is used orally.
- Take this medication during or after meals.
- The capsules should be swallowed with plenty of liquid.
- Swallow the capsules whole.
- Do not take Roxil without consulting your doctor.
Warnings and precautions:
- Do not use Roxil if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, or to any other cephalosporin or penicillin medicines.
- Frequent checks on coagulation parameters are necessary during long-term concurrent use of anticoagulants or platelet aggregation inhibitors to avoid bleeding complications.
- The dose must be adjusted according to the degree of renal impairment.
- Cefadroxil contains sodium.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken non-prescription or prescription medications, herbal supplements, vitamins, or nutritional supplements.
- Urine glucose levels should be determined enzymatically (eg using test strips) during treatment with cefadroxil.
