Hymox 875 mg 14 Tablets:

Amoxicillin capsules 875 mg.

Amoxicillin is designated for treating infections caused by bacteria in various parts of the body.

It can also be used in combination with other medicines to treat stomach ulcers.

Do not take amoxicillin capsules:

• If you are allergic to amoxicillin, penicillin, or any other ingredients of this medicine
• If you have had any allergic reaction to any antibiotic

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking amoxicillin capsules if

• You have glandular fever (fever, sore throat, swollen glands, and extreme tiredness)
• You have kidney problems
• You do not urinate regularly.

Possible side effects:

Stop taking amoxicillin capsules and go to the doctor immediately if you notice any of the following serious side effects – you may need urgent medical treatment:

• Allergy.
• Rash or the appearance of flat red round spots under the skin surface or bruising.
• A delayed allergic reaction may occur usually after 7 to 12 days of taking the capsules
• Skin reaction
• Flu-like symptoms
• Fever, chills, sore throat, or other signs of infection

Other medicines and amoxicillin capsules:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.

• If you are taking allopurinol
• If you are taking probenecid
• If you are taking medicines to help stop blood clotting
• If you are taking other antibiotics
• If you are taking methotrexate

How to take amoxicillin capsules:

The usual dose of amoxicillin capsules is 850 mg every 12 hours, depending on the severity and type of infection.
